rim restoring / and general plating

Here is a link to a thread on the CE registry where a guy had his Collector Edition rims done by them.

starting complete stripping, then 2 layers of copper to bond to the aluminum, then buffing the copper to remove imperfections.
then nickle plating, and then several more chrome plates with buffing
and polishing in between for 95.00per wheel. They guarantee the
rims not to peel.



I was thinking about sending them off to be replated/restored to original shape. I understand this isn't a simple process but it has to be cheaper than buying new ones.
I'm in cali, and if some of my nieghbors know of a good shop that doesn't want my other car for payment, please let me know.
