Default loose mirrors

Take a look at these mirrors. The crome looks great on them. The yellow smudge that looks like egg yolk on the one is just a reflection of the trigger on the windex bottle sitting on the counter. One problem with these mirrors. The ball socket is loose on the drivers mirror and when you go over 60mph the wind will blow it out of adjustment. Is there anything that can be done to tighten these sockets and save these great looking mirrors?

heck I have no real answer. But if it were me, I would try to drip some super glue in there to try and gum it up a little.

Maybe you can line them up...and drip a little super glue in the ball socket to hold it still.
Or a small glob of silicone to keep it from moving. then you can always peel it off if you need to redo it.

I used a dab of red locktite on mine. That was almost 10 years ago and it's still holding fine.

Locktite eh? So does that still allow the mirror to move if its bumbed or needs to be adjusted? We might be selling these mirrors and the suggestion could possibly help whoever might be interested in them.
