Will it increase in value ?
I think the price I've been told is fair, my question is would it be worth buying this car with the expectation of it going up in value.. I now have a 96 coupe that I drive & race, so the new one would not be driven..
I'm not a collector, & have never had a car in a show etc. thats my reason for the post... I wont buy it if it wont increase in value in a "reasonable" amount of time.. I'm over 60 yr old, so I really dont plan on keeping it too long, any thoughts would be appreciated...
The late-model C4's were just all alike, and they are plentiful. They are quite expensive to repair if banged up in the front, and you've got the threat of very expensive electronic failures that raise the risk of long-term ownership, along with the expensive Opti-spark distributors (I'm on my third) and so forth.
Or should I say down there with Enron.

Dwayne.. I replied to your post only because I saw you live in Az. I just got home from there.. I was there for 2 weeks (business & pleasure) & I LOVE The Weather It was 102 - 106 every day, but between the AC in all the stores, & those "great little misters" it wasn't that bad.
It sure beats the #$%^& winters we get here in NY.. I Hate Cold, & Snow
I was told in Jan, & Feb its 70 daytime, & 50 at night.. ya gotta love that weather!!! Just a little humor.. I drag race a lot, & while out there I rented a Ford Taurus.. all went well, then I took the wife & grand kids to see Grand Canyon.. Its great ! We got a motel room in Flagstaff, & in the AM when we left I started to drive the Taurus & thought I had left the emergency break ON... the car was a slug... nope the break was off.... & as I drove on, I saw a sign "ELV 7600 feet"
Arghhhhhhhhhh no wonder there was no performance, I was almost in outer space, or low earth orbit

I thought I'd just mention how really nice it is in Az. We left Flagstaff it was 65 deg that morning, we spent a great day in Sedona.. all I can say is WOW... and drove back to Scottsdale & 105 deg temp..
One thing I know for sure, if I decide to retire in a warmer climate it will be Az. before Fl. no Hurricanes, floods, & the cars stay clean..
Far from ideal. I don't care how dry the heat is 110 degrees is *&*$## HOT.

If you do decide to move to Az. be sure to look up the ACE. (click link in sig), we have lots of fun all year round...
Also, you can tell your really nutz when you walk out the door at 5am, and you see 100 degrees on the thermometer, and think, WOW! this is NICE!....

Financially Corvettes are not good investments, unless you factor in the value of the driving pleasure and other intangibles, and compare to the dollars spent - then it is a very good investment.
