Default Interior rear view mirror '67

I assume the date code i-dmi-6 is Sept 1966?

Does anyone know who restores interior mirrors?

I have an original mirror in nice condition my car, but someone replaced the mirror glass.

I have recenly found a correct date coded mirror with fair glass in another mirror that had a poor housing.

Is there anyone who knows who might specialize in changing out the glass in the two aforementioned mirrors without damage ???

1967 inside rear-view mirrors were never dated. Ed and Carol Fish do outstanding inside mirror restorations, but don't do mail-order any more; they are at all the major shows, however. Another source who does mail order is Bob Kauffman in Pennsylvania, (717) 938-2731. Paragon also does outstanding mirror work. Be sure and check your VIN/build date first against the Judging Guide, as there were "early" and "late" inside mirrors in '67.

That would explain why my mirror has no date!!! So the guy who told me it must have been replaced was wrong

Now what really has me wondering is what this mirror is from - what used a date coded mirror i-DMI-6 in late 1966 (it has no day/night switch) and no trim around it like the 67 mirror, but it cant be from a 66 car can it with the date being sept 66? Any clues?

I think the "i" might be a "1". I've don't think I've ever seen a DMI, Donnelley Mirror, with a letter date. Check it again. I'll bet it's 1 DMI 6. Chuck

So it would be a January 1966 mirror from a 66 corvette maybe?

It is in judgeable original (not restored) condition? Anyone need it?
