Side mirror help!

Side mirror help!
Looks like the spring or whatever it is that keeps the side mirror from folding broke. Now is just rotates freely. Is this a quick fix or does it have to go to the dealer for it to be repaired properly?

There is a way to "Repair" it. Dealer will probably want to replace the mirror as it is not supposed to be serviced as such.

Pulled mine out of storage after the winter this year and had the same problem!!! Dealer replace the whole mirror, at a cost of $375!!!! GOOD LUCK I was 
!!!!! But it is over and paid for now so I have to let it go!

The washer that holds the head on the passenger side mirror came off the c5 the other day. I mixed up some JB weld, placed it around the mirror shaft, and taped the unit back in place until it dried. Sure the mirror doesn't fold, but it's secure and shows no sign of repair.
