Default Rent / Borrow an ENCLOSED car trailer? Chicagoland

Carol REFUSES to let me/us drive the new Z back from BG. She points out the fact that when we went down to see it built our commuter car got hit with flying pieces of disintegrating truck tire, numerous bugs (so what), and that there are 2 construction areas that are not new-car friendly. She also has read threads on break-in, and the frickin owners manual (she is ahead of me on that one) and points out that cruisin 7 hours at 80+ is not proper break-in...

Anyway - where do I find an enclosed car trailer for October 16th and 17th? I have a tow vehicle, I just need the trailer. Anyone here able to help a brother out or recommend someone?

I am in the western burbs of Chicago.

Free rides all week after we get home. I took the week off of work.

Thanks!

I couldn't find one to rent for vettefest, I was lucky my friend trailerd my car in his enclosed for me.

Just curious, what are you planning on pulling it with? An enclosed has a decent weight to it, plus the weight of the car. Good Luck with getting her home safe.

I have rented from Route 12 Rental in the past. They had some nice aluminum and enclosed trailers with brakes, etc.

I could not find their website so call first.

Good luck with the new ZO6.

For the price of 2 days trailer rental, I can buy 2 one-way plane tickets to Nashville. I think if I plot a nice scenic route and spread it out over Monday and Tuesday I may be able to convince Carol to make it a mini Corvette vacation, and drive it home!

CAROL,

I agree with JOHNNY 1000%!!! HECK, TAPE up the front end with that silly tape you see on cars at the race tracks if you have to but you and RANDY REALLY need to drive that BABY home as life is just to darn short and that BABY was built to be driven. You can very your speeds from 45 to 80 mph on the way home in different gears and break that bad boy in and trust me when i tell you its already broken in from the factorty and you will be FINE!!!!!!!!!! Just think how DARN EXCITING THAT RIDE HOME FROM B.G. WOULD BE!!!!!!!!

LIVE a little and let RANDY and YOURSELF drive that BLACK BEAUTY HOME from BOWLING GREEN as this will be a MEMORY you will NEVER FORGET and she will be broken in when your home just in time for the AUTOBAHN TRACK EVENT durin the last weekend of October!!!!!!!

go to home depot and buy a roll of the clear plastic that is used to protect the carpeting in new homes after it is installed prior to the new owner moving in.You just peel it off of the roll and it sticks in place. When you are done just peel off of the car and throw it away.It works great at the track for me

I saw some guy on the way to FunFest with a red c4 looked like he had plastic wrap around the nose of it... didn't look very good but, was probably very effective.
