Just a friendly reminder to be careful! My vette is sittin in the garage but Im heading out to downtown soon... Already 2 inches down here in McHenry! I already hear all the snowmobilers warming up their engines
I'd rather have the snow in the winter than the rain in summer. One way or the other we still are behind for water over the last few years. The 3-? inches of snow we get will be gone shortly, it's a minor inconvenience.
snow is nice as long as it goes away real soon. I used to love snow until i started driving corvettes a few years back. Oh well, at least this snow gives me a chance to start my HID project
I just came in from touching up the driveway/sidewalk after shoveling for nearly 3 hours last night. We have a huge snowblower, but I figure I need the exercise. According to my official yardstick, we got just a little over 12" here in Vernon Hills. I can't wait for the snowplows to come along and push everything up over our parkway and onto the sidewalk. The last time we had snow, they pushed nearly 3' of snow onto our front sidewalk. I wasn't a happy camper.

I live on a quasi cul de sac. The plow guys always plow the snow towards my house/driveway. I'm right on the outside side of a turn in the road and they drive the plow truck like a race car..they take the inside path of the turn which moves 2 lanes of snow to my side of the street. Last year during one of the snowfalls I stopped the truck and asked them politely NOT to do that. They said sorry, that was the way it had to be.
A week later I was out front doin the driveway and saw a truck coming, I ran into the house and got an 06 calendar of "Exotic Cars" from my company (advertising) and stopped the truck gave the guy the calendar and "thanked" him for not burying my drive. Since then when it snows all the snow that used to be on my parkway is now on the neighbor's to the West of me.

I've tried everything, including throwing my snow shovel at the snow plow. My wife went out this morning and nicely asked the snow plow driver not to push all that snow over our sidewalk, and he didn't. I guess she's cuter than I am.
