Super Viper??? (pic)
Is there supposed to be a new super viper coming out?
I've seen it once on I-94 just east of Detroit and once on I-75 around the tech center (both within a week of each other).
I tried taking a picture of this viper that was all masked off, but he driving too slow and I was in traffic.
It looked like it had a bigger cowl and the fender lines were more defined. the tires looked bigger than the stock 335.
here's the crappy photo:

hard to tell from the picture, but it could be a 2006 Hennessey viper.

i know there was also some kind of new viper at the detroit auto show this year. it may also be that.

Well its not copper colored, but there is the copperhead, with 345 19's in the back!!! We had one here at work last week. M Plate of course

The long and short of it is that yes, there is a new Viper coming out, but not until '08.
My buddy is going to Detroit in a couple of days to pick up his new Copper Viper and he knows a few people with pretty good info. Dodge will be building the '06 Viper until August (I believe?) and then they will be shutting the plant down. There will be NO '07 Vipers at all. Dodge will be retooling the plant and will begin production of the '08 models sometime around June of '07.
Its just like all the speculation on the "Blue Devil" or "Corvette SS" (unfounded) but rumor has it that the new Viper will be ~650hp. I have no clue if the car in your picture is any kind of mule for the '08 Viper but its always a possibility.

I looked at the pictures on both of those links and compared it to your pic. I know its not the best pic in the world but I can see where your coming from with the bigger cowl. It doesnt look like either one of those. And besides, those concepts have already been released to the public. Whatever it is, its something different.
