The York County (York, PA) Corvette Club is caravanning out to Mid America's Fun Fest in a couple of weeks. So far, it looks like we'll have about a dozen or so cars in our group. It also looks like we'll have a mix of old and new cars so we'll be having to stop for fuel every 300 miles or so. Can anyone out in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois let me know where we can stop along I-70 and get off/on rather easily and find more than one gas station at the exit? Also, food recommendations will be appreciated... I figure if we can compile a list of good stops, we can make a decision on where to stop on the fly.
Well Columbus would be a good choice and then after that springfield has a bunch of exits. Then there are more between springfield and dayton. Then richmon indiana would be next and has one good exit with a bunch of food and gas. Those are the larger areas to stop. From richmond to indinanapolis there are a few stops that are more than one station, somthing like new castle and greenview or somthing.
you should have no problems at all. I know from columbus to indianapolis for the most part. The places to eat along there are all about the same, except for Columbus. Most all have a KFC, MCD, Denny's, Pizza hut or similar.
