Default Corvette Fun Fest

This is for anyone that will be attending Mid Americas Corvette Fun Fest in September. If you will be attending and driving thru Indianapolis Indiana to get there JOIN UP WITH US. There are several CORVETTE PEOPLE with all different year cars that will be meeting up and CRUISING over together and YOU are invited to join us. We will meet at (McDonalds) Interstate 70 and 267 the Plainfield exit, about 10 mls. West of Indianapolis and Interstate 465 and I 70. We will be leaving there from the McDonalds at 8:00am Friday Sept 15th which will be 7:00am ILLinois time and drive to Terre Haute Indiana ( 1/2 way ) and stop for breakfast. Probably at Cracker Barrell, then cruise on over to Effingham ILL to Mid America. How COOL would this look to see ALL CORVETTES cruising down the Interstate. If you live between these 2 points and want to join in, please feel free to do so.
If anyone wants to contact me about this little ( hope to be BIG ) cruise please feel free to e-mail me at mikes54vet@aol.com OH I will not be taking my 54 this year I will be taking my 63 SWC I got this year.

I drive that portion of I 70 everyday and the rest stop that you are looking to use as a meeting place (west bound I 70 about 2-3 miles west of Plainfield) has been closed at the entrance off the interstate. Maybe open by the time of the cruise but not sure. Don't know what they are doing but the eastbound side is still open. Another option might be the TAH truck stop about 6-7 miles further west on State Road 39 and I 70. I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks ILLinois, for the info on the rest stop. Maybe we should meet at the Plainfield exit which is the 1st exit west on I 70 West of Indianapolis at I 70 and I 465. We will meet at the McDonalds Parking lot and leave at 8:00am sharp.

I am planning to go and return the same day. Anyone else doing that, or are most staying overnight?
