Around Detroit Ziebart Rust Proof Shops do window tinting. My Grandson had his car done. Good job. Got a ticket for the driver's window being too dark!
Thanks to everyone for thier suggestions and guidance.
I decided to go close to home, and went to see Brad at Sunset Tinting yesterday. He did a really nice job, and I spent the better part of two+ hours with him.
A couple of things that I learned about installing tint on a C6 Coupe. It takes a great deal of patience for the installer. Brad basically worked over one hour to just shape the tint material on the back window of the coupe. He delicately managed each curvature by heating the vinyl until it formed to the glass. Once he had the material formed, he was able to cut it to fit into the dark edge that already comes with the rear glass. Then he scrubs the inside of the coupe's glass to ensure proper adhession. This is especially important, since there are a number of ridged dots that have to take hold of the material. The door glass windows were a lot easier.
I hope to have the car washed today, so that I can take some pics and post for all of you to see.
I would highly recommend Brad at Sunset Tinting.
PS, it was not cheap ($260), but given the difficulty with the rear coupe window, I felt it was well earned!!
