Bears Half Time Report
Good first half Rex looks like he got something going with Bernard Berrian. Jim Belushi was the best - boy did they get him out of the booth quick (too much openly rooting for the Bears).
Dick Butkus did a color commentary ONCE on a Bears game. The USA Today creamed him the next day saying he openly rooted for the Bears - what did the expect BUTKUS to do? Good Vocational HS grad (87th and Stony Island baby!)
Gotta get back to the game I'm gonna loose the spread but feel good about the over.......
The dynamics of football have changed. As soon as the color commentators figure that out they'll be able to provide better information for the less educated. The LBS are faster, the DES are stronger and faster, and the CBS are 4-5 inches away in height from being a wide receiver. Everyone expects a team to go in and win because of the QB. In the mean time people at other positions have become quicker, faster and better.
Hell....Payton Manning can't win anymore because his D is mediocre. The days of a QB and a RB coming in and running a game are over. People at other positions have caught up and are just as good. Football is a well balanced game now....teams can win for a variety of reasons.
I wanna see the Bears play the Saints or the Chargers! Too bad the fans can't vote for, and demand a game of the week. When are Z06-HESTER, Urlacher, Jones, Benson, Kreutz, Vasher, Briggs, Anderson, Muhammad ... gonna get the respect they deserve? When Rex starts to get hot those SOB commentators got sh*t to say.
"Expect the unexpected.....GO BEARS! Bring on the warm weather teams"

It was great to see GROSSMAN with the PRESSURE AND WEIGHT OF THE WORLD on home come threw with a SOLID PERFORMANCE and DEVIN HESTER setting an NFL record with 2 kickoff returns each of 90+ kick off returns for TOUCHDOWNS for a the NFL RECORD of 6 Returned Touchdowns.
DA BEARS in firm command of their own destiny and now guaranteed a first round bye in the PLAYOFFS
