This time of year, it doesn't matter what happened during the regular season. What matters is the playoffs. And during the playoffs, the Colts defense has out performed every other team, including the Bears. In fact, the Bears D looked downright terrible against Seattle until about the last 5 minutes. Colts haven't allowed 100 yards rushing in a game yet during the playoffs.

May the best team win and the true trash talking will REALLY begin when we have a winner (and that winner could easily be the Colts or the Bears). But most of here know what happens when a Baby Horse meats a Grizzly Bear now don't we? If not, this illustrates it pretty good!

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!

You start off nice and easy then bam....a guy beatin' a horse. For a while I was wishin' I never offered my 2-cents. A little trash talk is fun and just in jest as we all know. All part of football and something to do until we can take our cars back on the road with the tops down and the sun shining. Good luck to all our INDY friends ...

.Bears defense looked terrrible? 4 turnovers by Saints, but the Bears did not have anything to do w/ that huh?..they gave up 14 points to the No. 1 offense in the NFC...

Bottom line is that we all are convinced that our team, whichever, will win the SB. Nobody will convince the other to change their minds.

Remember we are a Vette family that transcends typical ridiculousness! Hopefully us Indy guys can hook up with your Chi town guys sometime in the summer, or maybe at Funfest!

All I have to say in closing is, may the best team win and, of course,

FEAR THE SHOE

Quarterback Brett Favre, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God started showing him around. They came to a modest little house that needed some repair with an old, faded Packers flag in one small window. "This house is yours for eternity, Brett," said God, "this is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."

Brett felt special indeed and walked up to his new home. On his way up to the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a three-story mansion with a blue and orange sidewalk, blue and orange roof, a 50-foot tall flagpole with an enormous Bears flag, the lawn manicured in the shape of the Bears logo, and in every single window, a blue helmet with a "C" on it.

Brett looked at God and said, "Lord , I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an All-Pro Quarterback, I won a Super Bowl, I hold numerous records, played for umpteen years and of course made it to the Hall of Fame."

God said, "So what do you want to know, Brett?"

"Well, why does Walter Payton get a better house than me?"

God chuckled and said, "Brett, that's not Walter Payton's house, it's mine."

I am thrilled the Bears are underdogs! Every time this year they were, they kicked *** and took names. I was more worried about Brady with his playoff record. I think this Bears team team has been grossly underrated all season. I think if the play the Colts like they did they Aints; same game plan and execute it, they win! No one has wanted to see the Bears win this year and it plays right into their psyche. Urlacher said all last week that his motiviation was the press saying they would lose. I would run up the gut on the Colts, and pressure Manning jsut enough to force him to do things he doesn't want to!

GO BEARS!

Manning has never faced a D like the Bears. Vinetari's kiskoffs tend to be both short and low, and the Colts have the worst special teams in the NFL. Devin Hester will have a field day! As long as "Evil Rex" stays home the Bears look pretty good!

And they are getting 7 points to boot!

Manning hasn't faced the Bears this year, but he has faced and beaten the Ravens, who have the toughest defense in the NFL by far. The Bears defense is decent, but the Ravens are in a league of their own. I don't think Peyton and the Colts offense will have any problem whatsoever moving the ***** against the bears D. The Bears are good, but playing in the NFC, they don't have experience against the kind of offense that they will face in the Colts. The Colts offense is just too good.

Hi gregm999 -

The Bears are as good or better than the Ravens - they were spanking them statistically speaking until Rex started giving up the ball 5 and 6 times in the red zone. Think about it - how can a d keep up it's stats if they are on the field all the time defending the goal line?

When Rex does not cough it up (and he has seemed to not be doing that the last few games) the Bears D is the best in football period.

I would point out once again that Manning (probably the best QB in football right now) was not able to put a TD on the board against the Ravens.

I do not think he will do so against the Bears either. Part of my reasoning stems from the fact that the Indy defense is almost non existant against a potent run game, and they rank very low in overall defense.

A grind-it-out smash-mouth run offense is going to keep Mr. Manning off the field - he cannot score from the sidelines.

And once again, if the Ravens had any offense at all, the Colts would be watching the SB on their big-screens at home.

So, we have the #2 offense against the #3 offense, and the #21 defense against the #5 defense.

Throw in the #1 special teams (Bears) and you have the makings of a very disappointing day for the Colts.

Of course, if the Bears shoot themselves in the feet by turning the ball over and letting the Colts offense stay on the field all day long and wear down the Bears D, then they can win the game.

Once again, it is great to have the Colts and the Bears both in the SB - either way I will be happy - but I will be happier if the Bears do what I believe they will - they are who I thought they were lol.....

best regards -

Sorry Bear's guys but Grossman is going to lose it for you, they have kept him in check so far but I think he won't be able to help himself in the big dance and try to do too much and end up losing the game.

Gotta go with Peyton on this one GO COLTS!
