This one from greg smith looks alot better then the one from rhi... if we have them shipped to one location we can cut our shipping costs down even more..
So they will substitute the taller lift (raised height) and knock off a few bucks along with the more orderd the less shipping will be per person.

Jack,
I think we should start a new thread for this gp so as not to confuse people since all the discussion was off the RHI lift and now we are working with greg smith on it.
I would title it "Greg Smith Lift GP" or something like that...

Alan Did you see the new thread. They have a good web page showing the lift in detail, also Randy at the factory is very good about answering any questions.
Feel free to give me a call and I can help explain everything...

Thanks,

I have a 4 post unit with an air operated movable bridge to lift car to work on wheels, brakes etc. I use mine to store for long periods of time - one of my toys on top & 1 underneath. To overcome the problem of overhead track in way of hoist when lifting I vaulted the ceiling when I built my garage & bought track to follow vault in ceiling. In my case I didn't want the engine hanging out in front of the front lift point for long periods IMHO it puts too much strain on the car.

When the flag drops the bullsh_t stops!
Right a mid rise is not really for storage it is for working on your car, and it lifts the car from the same points as a 2 post lift would.. so the weight distribution is the same between a 2 post and a mid rise...
