Next. My 30-something nephew has had a run of bad luck. He lost his factory job at Bissell some time ago, wife left him with a couple of kids. Has his house for sale on Willow Drive in Plainfield Twp. My sis is making his house payment so he doesn't lose the place and have to move in with her.
He has retail, computer programming, assembly and warehouse experience behind him. Can't make it on fast food-type wages either.
Any tips on a decent job out there would really be appreciated.
Hey Ron, we are hiring at Meijer's right now. He can start as a selector and we are probably going to lose an auditor because her cancer came back and they give her until the end of the year. The warehouse job is part-time with 40+ hours at $8 to start then bumps up to $8.30 after his 90 days. From there, every 1000 hours worked he will get a pay raise and will top out at $14 an hour. When we hit thanksgiving, we start getting 50+ hours a week. If he can get into the auditors position, it is full time and I do believe it starts out at $10 an hour.
All he has to do is stop in at one of the gas stations, fill out an application and take it to the warehouse on 3 mile and walker which is just down the road from Bissell. He can turn it in at the guard shack.
We're hiring where I work, Renaissance Recovery right now, in Marne, right off the expressway. Repossession forwarding house. Skipping out people who don't pay their bills for different lenders and sending the repo guys out to get the collateral. Interesting work. We don't do the actual repo's, just make sure the lender knows what's going on with thier accounts out for repo, lots of phone work and sending updates through internet to the lenders. Customer service job basically, but we do call debtors as well to try to get location of the collateral, starts at 10 dollars an hour, but hours we're hiring for are 3.30 to 11.30 pm. If interested, check us out. Send resume over by fax attention Ron Kimbro, at 616 677 5200.
