I got this e-mail from Mid America Motorworks on upcoming legislation regarding front plates.
Dear Corvette Friends,
Join Mid America Motorworks in supporting Illinois legislation to allow Corvettes to display a rear license plate only! This is our opportunity to make our voices heard. Contact your State Representatives and State Senators today! Request their "YES" vote on allowing Corvette owners to legally display a single license plate on the rear of their vehicle.
We are providing the links below so you can conveniently reach your state elected officials immediately.
Here is a link with the background on the issue http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/Bill...50&LegID=15753 It has been around since 2005 and earlier this year it was stuck out in the middle of nowhere as everyone in Springfield makes idiots of themselves trying to agree on a state budget. I am for the law but don't see it happening anytime soon. Too bad Blagojevich doesn't drive a Corvette. We should have a upcoming Frank llunch in Crestwood and invite the bills sponsor (Robert Rita) to the luncheon

Cause most of us don't ride around with the plates on, and the laws they have for this are not usually enforced anyways.
Then why not make front plates optional for all cars? Believe me, if I could find a center grille for my car cheap enough I'd lose the front plate too, but I have to ask why they'd make this kind of exception only because we don't want to do it.

That really depends on where you live... some local LEO's seem to love to write tickets for this, byt I don't think the ISP has time for it. I can see them adding that ticket to a laundry list of things if you got busted for DUI or drag racing.
