Just found out about this list. Spark Notes: Bob86ZZ4 C4 and Git Er Dun C4 and C5.

I have been involved with the Vette community for a long time. I first started going to Brainerd with my Dad when I was in 5th grade. My Dad's name on this site is Bob86ZZ4 and he has a 86 coupe that has a 383, Turbo400 with a gear vendor's overdrive, and a bunch of other stuff. Here's a picture of his car:

And of him at his day job:

Then when I was 18 and fresh out of basic training I purchased an 87 coupe. It quickly became more and more modified. Two years later and it is fully gutted, ZF6 swapped in, exhaust, C5 brakes, a couple sets of CCW classics with slicks, and a bunch of other stuff. With 335's on the front and back and only weighing 2780 pounds it makes an ok road race car despite being underpowered. Here's a picture of that:

Well now I am 20 and just finishing up my year long deployment to Iraq. Half way through the tour I bought a 99 Fixed Roof Coupe. I have a half built forged 442ci LS7 that will be going in the car and should be around 700hp. I also have a full Moton C5R racing suspension with a bunch of goodies that will go on the car once it gets a roll cage installed. Once the LS7 goes in I will be able to add the headers and the Corsa Titanium exhaust I have. Right now all the FRC has is black C6Z rims, tint, a low profile spoiler, and a hurst short throw shifter. I can't wait until I finish the engine and can get that and a new transmission installed. Expect to see this car at Brainerd and one day the Cannonball Run: One Lap of America. Here's a picture of the 99:

And just for fun here is what I have been driving for the last year. It weighs 100,000 pounds empty and 200,000-240,000 pounds with some of the heavy loads. It has 8X8 and the trailer has 40 tires. The back 4 axles all steer themselves to help steer the trailer around things because the trailer is 12 feet wide. It is the biggest truck in the military and can transport just about anything. It was a lot of fun to drive.

If you ever see this rig it most likely has my 87 or my 99 in it. My parents bought the truck and my Dad and I bought the trailer 50/50. It is a Freightliner with a 12 Liter Caterpillar C12 making 450hp and 1650tq. It has a 40,000 pound hitch that we use to pull the trailer with. The entire rig with the trailer is 67 feet long. Here's a picture of the rig:

I hope to see you guys at the track or at car cruises/shows sometime. I also try to make it down to Porkey's as much as I can. Feel free to say Hi if you ever see my Dad or I anywhere. -Eric Winsor

I am coming home from a year long deployment to Iraq on Monday morning or afternoon. Monday evening there is a car meet with a different online forum that I participate in from MN(ricekiller.com). I plan to bring the FRC out to the meet. My Dad might come to the meet too and drive the C4. My buddy is bringing his C4 track car that he just bought. My other buddy will be in his silver C5 coupe with some nice mods. 1BadBurb's silver C5 with the C5R 427 is getting some work done so he will be bringout out his E63AMG or his 1000cc GSXR.

We are planning on meeting up somewhere in St. Paul area at around 6:30PM and cruising to the meet with the Corvettes. The meet is out in Anoka and kicks off around 7:30PM and runs to about 10:00PM. At 10:00PM they then go for a little cruise and go home. There usually is about 20 or so cars at the meet I have been told. It is mostly Mustangs, Camaro's, and a few Corvettes along with some other nice cars.

I figured this would be a fun thing to do right when I get home and give me an excuse to drive the new car. I figured I would let you guys know about it just incase it's a nice night and you wanted to go cruise in your car somewhere and hang out with some car guys. If any of you guys are interested in doing the cruise out from St. Paul that would be cool too.

There should be about 5-6 Vettes there so it would be cool if even more could show up to outnumber those Mustang guys hahaha.

Here's the flyer for it featuring 1BadBurb's car:

PM me for my cell phone number and directions if you want to do the cruise to the meet. If you just want to go to the meet or can't make it to the 6:30 meet up time feel free to mapquest those directions and meet us there.

Hey Git Er Dun

We're glad to see you're back safe and sound. Doesn't look like you've lost any enthusiasm for the Corvette. Hope to see you around somewhere this summer.

Thanks a lot TNT. I'm sooooo happy to be home. Can't wait to drive a Corvette again. My enthusiasm has probably grown even more over this last year. Whenever I had the chance I was here trying to learn as much about Vettes as I could. See you around.

Cars & Coffee in Chanhassen on Saturday. Pretty big gathering of nice cars - ferraris, porsches, corvettes, etc. It's at the Auto MotorPlex off Audubon and Hwy 5 in Chanhassen. http://www.automotorplex.com/

Huh, looks like they're calling it "cars & cafe" now. Whatever, same thing!

Lets get a group together for 2011, I am not really interested in joining a club but it would be nice to meet up with fellow owners and cruise to events on weekends. My buddy Troy is with RKC in MN so I will get their schedule of events and post them on this thread.

Hey MN Guys and Gals,

I started a Facebook page where we can chat and share pics also. I find this is a much easier way to set up cruises and gatherings? I will list the link below let me know if I did it correctly.

Group name is MN Corvette Cruisers and here is the link:http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=...81832061850551

If I did anything that could be improved upon I am open for advice.

ThankU,

Joe T.

Is anything going on over at www.vetteaction.com ? I registered there over a year ago, and I still don't have permission to access their forums?

I get the same message. I lost my access somehow and have e-mailed the admin several times. Finally gave up.
