Default Corvette Fire FunFest

Today on the way to FunFest approx. 11:00am our Caravan drove by a very sad scene. The police were there but not the firetrucks. This was within about 6 miles of Funfest. When this picture was taken the entire doghouse was engulfed in flames. Not sure of the year we think the plate said it was a 72. The plates on the Vette were Indiana. They were trying to put it out with fire extinguishers but obviously it wasn't working. By the time the last of our Caravan got by it the fire had reached to the back of the doors and verly close to the gas tank.

This was obviously a total loss.

Update-- The Corvette was a 71. Picture below taken by club member R. Scott

Default We saw the results too, you could tell it had been a beautiful car

What was left of this poor car showed it was obviously a beautiful car before the fire. Glad they were able to get out safely.

That is just plain sickening. I wonder if it was a fuel or electrical fire?
