Just saw the OfficeMax Black Friday ad; they will have the Mio C220 Portable Car Navigation System for $99.99 the day after Thanksgiving.
As long as you do not need tech support, send a product in for repair or map upgrades MIO is OK. Their customer service is as bad as things can get. I own a C310x that I bought on a Black Friday ad for $99. It is a $99 GPS ad no more. I'm looking at Garmins 360 right now. Chrck out the GPS lodge for more on MIO. Good luck
I also own a C310x. Other than a hassle with the log in to get the latest map upgrade, it has been a reliable GPS/Mp3 player. The new maps are much more accurate and the unit has worked fine so far. For the price they are hard to beat.

Been VERY happy with mine for the price I paid. I got it for $199. There are a couple of issues and I really miss the speedlimit warnings since the update, but for $199 It far exceeds my expectations.

Couple of update questions - would you update again and was it a automatic process? I have heard people bricking their MIOS because of updates
The update process itself was fine; the problem seemed to be on the Mio wesite. A lot of people had problems getting the secret password that lets you install the update from the CD. I lucked out and found a forum where somebody had identified a workaround. Once I got the needed info the update worked as advertised. If Mio comes out with another update that's OK by me; right now I'm waiting to see if they'll offer the European maps to US users so we can take the C310x on our next vacation.
