Default In Memory . . .

In Memory of Ken King. May he always be remembered not only for his exceptional talent but for the great person he was and for all he gave to those that were blessed to have known him.

I received this today from Ken's mom.

Corvette club here on Hilton Head Island meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at Starbucks - last Wednesday saw a yellow/black interior done by Ken's hands - I knew it was March and missing him was very real again touching his leatherwork

It doesn't seem like its been 2 years already. I think of Ken the most when I see a yellow C5 vert. That was when I had first met him. It was a car show at Parkway. Talked for a good half hour or so. Damn, he was a great guy.

Cindy, I know it still hurts to have had love ripped from your arms like it was. The only comfort we can continue to offer is our friendship and knowing that we are all better for having known Ken.

I agree that it's hard to believe that it's been two years since Ken's passing. I met Ken at the Les Stanford Corvette Encounter several years ago. He had just bought his C5 Yellow Z06 and was looking for a personalized plate for the car. I had the plate he wanted "YLWFEVR" on my '96 LT4 Coupe (I still have the car).

I always enjoyed talking with Ken, very personable, easy to talk to, etc., etc. He did the custom interior on my '03 Electron Blue Z06 back in '04. Outstanding work and quick turnaround. His interiors are unmistakable - you can always tell his interiors - can't be duplicated.

I truly miss him.

I still have his business card above my desk and think about him often. He was a good man.
