I was born in New York and grew up Connecticut and New Jersey and still prefer the pizza in the northeast. I have been meaning to try out this place one of these days. http://www.nyslices.com/

Tsukasa Of Tokyo (Vernon Hills) - Like Benihana only far better.

Uno's Grill (multiple locations) - especially for the Deep Dish Sundae.

Melting Pot (multiple locations) - love the cheddar cheese fondue.

and Jimmys Hot Dogs on Pulaski
Jimmy's! Used to eat there alot when I worked in the area. Not the worst area during the day. Jimmy's and Gene and Judes are basically identical (except Jimmy's has Polish Sausage as well). I think they opened only a year or so apart........

One more plug, if you want the BEST fajitas try Uncle Julios........

+1 for Zazzo's Pizza!

Gibson's Steak House downtown and Rosemont is hard to beat. Greektown on Halsted Street on a Saturday Night is always a blast.

Had an incredible Filet last night at the Captial Grill in Lombard, IL and Entourage Steakhouse in Schaumburg is incredible (as well is the eye candy)!

Also, the new convention center in the Lombard area (Yorktown Shopping Center area) has opened up 30 high end great restaurants like Capital Grill referenced above and is a FANTASTIC area to dine out these days!

The list goes on and on and on!

I really Like Al Capone's Hideaway in St. Charles, but when I go out for pizza it's Pal Joey's in West Chicago. We ALMOST had a crew event at Capone's last year, I would be up for trying that again.
