Why don't you try telling us what you put in, as opposed to our having to guess what constitutes the "wrong gas"? If the problem was 89 octane, just take it easy w/ acceleration until you can start filling w/ some higher octane.

No worries. Its not going to hurt anything except your power. All it will do is retard your engine timing robbing you of some power. Perhaps toss in a few bottles of octane boost to get you up a few octane until you can burn through the tank.

yea, basically take it easy on the throttle as others have said until you can refill with premium gas. No big deal unless you try and beat on the car.

the only thing you would really need to worry about is if you deisel in that tank. but from the sounds of it ... just drive!

Unless its hot out and the car is stock don't worry about it.

Premium is only really required in warmer temps. Octane stops pre-detonation and with low inlet temps you do not need it.

Now if the car is FI things may be different because the turbo/sc will warm the air before entering the engine.

You can get away with regular in sub 65 degree temps and never know the difference.

Same here... I hope it wasn't E85 or Diesel. I've seen both done, both a bad idea. If it was just a lower octane no worries. Just refill it up next time with a higher grade.

not to hijack to much, but what kind of issues have you seen on vettes and e85? I converted my last car to e85 and aside from almost needing injectors that could pour a gallon of fuel in a millisecond and a fuel pump capable of pushing a barrel of gas a second I didn't have any issues. .

Well if you don't count not being able to get the 1000cc injectors to idle.

Again, not trying to hijack. Just something I've been thinking about looking into in the vette. Feel free to PM me.
