Not sure who you talked to, but Chevy did not have "a guy" (or girl for that matter) at the show.

Regarding the ZR1, I talked to a man dusting it off Sat. morning before the show opened, I assumed he was the rep and sorry if i got facts wrong, just quoting the man.

You aren't kidding! The guy from Reliable told me it had a governer which limited it to 35 mph, but I was afraid of it, so I didn't get a chance to see if he was telling me the truth. Anyway, it sure sounded good!
