I would want to offer the ACD to those that didn't see it this year, and would try to arrange other activities.
Thanks for your thoughts

Hi Frank -
I would not change a thing - I loved the Inn - great place, I am going to frame a shot or two I took for them to put in the lobby if they like (or throw away ...)
Is there any drag strips nearby where we could do some fun runs?
You know how hard it is to lay out a poker run, but now a lot of the hard work is done for you as far as route etc. Consider perhaps a "riddle rally" format, where you have a list of instructions that do not contain specific street or road designations, but rather "left at the second opportunity", where an opportunity is a paved public road.
Then, interspersed amongst the directions, would be a question, such as "what bird is on the mailbox?" (and say there is a big duck on the mailbox at that corner etc.). That adds some interest and fun to the run, and you avoid the need to have people out on the course to hand out cards etc - the winner is the person with the most correct answers.
The thing is that it almost requires a second person in the vehicle, but I think all of us except Dave had a passenger for the Poker Run.
Another suggestion might be to see if there are any local SAE or other groups that might have a parking lot "low speed" autocross on one afternoon - just a thought.
I was more than happy with the full slate of events that you so graciously hosted for us.
Here is a twist on the old "corvettes in the mirrors" shot, how about "Corvette Drivers in the mirrors while the Chief give instructions."
And the Chief's car at the Inn (or is it the Chief's hubby's car??? )
best regards -

A big "THANK YOU" for a great time this weekend to Frank and Suzie. My wife and I had a great time on Fri. evening and Sat. with you all. It was great to meet everyone in person finally. Everyone was so nice, I just wished I could've had more time to talk to everyone and hung out.
I think we need some events next year that we can test our Vettes out. Maybe we can go to Muncie Speedway which is about an 1 1/2 hours away or do a low speed autocross. Another good idea would be a scavenger hunt with the Vettes, I have done this many times and had a blast.
Again it was great meeting you all and seeing some of you again. I can't say it enough, but thanks again Frank and Suzie for the awesome time.
Take care,
The Slackers

Hey Frank -
Tell Nick that I need to get his pics that he took of my car at the bridge - I don't think anyone else got shots of mine since it was the last one through.....and I know he took some great pics there -
Here is one that I got of my car at the bridge, but it suffers from the issue of my need to get a unique angle lol.....
best regards

well I finally found the thread on this
the FCCC runs a low speed autocross in Defiance Ohio about 40 miles away every labor day weekend.
Another suggestion might be to see if there are any local SAE or other groups that might have a parking lot "low speed" autocross on one afternoon - just a thought.

sorry that I haven't posted more pictures than the one at the museum. I've been at Mid-Ohio with SCCA and not home to edit and post them. will be returning home late sunday and hope to get them posted next week.
No meeting with any walls this time at the track. beautiful weather at a great, fast track.
