This is why I go to FLP, Can't beat 20 some odd years working on race cars and tuning, The tune is everything, I hope it all works out but the leaks do not look good.
AFAIK they are still a supporting vendor. The sn is mike@straightline. I have seen mixed posts about them, some good, some bad. Just wondering since they are local.
I would stick with FLP or Speed Inc. They have got the experience needed and have good reputations locally and here on the forum
That post alone would steer me clear of that shop. Even though its a 1 sided story at this point... the fact that they shop threatned him that they would get help from the states attorney, that in and of itself is enough to say "run Luke, run"
They also have only been a suporting vendor here for a short time, and I have seen other negative posts about them.
i can't say that i have heard any positives about these guys. i have only heard bad. hopefully everything works out for that guy. too bad he didn't come here sooner to find out about the rep of a shop

I am not going to get involved one way or the other as I personally know the poster as he is one my brother's good friends. He was just telling me all about this last Weds. at Elmhurst cruise night.
I am going to stay neutral and not get involved at all, and this will be my last post here, as I don't have enough facts and typically won't go public with this type of stuff.
Best of luck to all parties involved and hopefully they can work out their differences!

Wow, some of you guys are quick to jump the gun. I have never used Straightline but have only heard good things. Why dont we give them a chance to respond...
Did anyone else get about half way through the linked post and stop reading due to punctuality? If this guy is as smart as his grammar suggests I beleive we owe it to Straightline to at least hear them out.

I agree with your point, and I dont like when people jump the gun either I am all about hearing both sides of the story...but again I have talked to several people myself who have not had good experience with them, and this is not the first thread I have read on a negative experience.
I had Straightline do a cam, underpulley, dual springs etc., torque converter, headers, tunnel plate, corsa's and a tune.
I drove up there from St. Louis to have the work done and they did an outstanding job for me. Everything was as they stated and the tune is great. Driving the car home (50 miles) I got an error code and had it checked at Auto Zone and it was the left front CO sensor. I called Straightline and talked with the owner and he stated that customer service is what seperates them from their competition and he send Mike the Tuner down to St. Louis from New Lenox and fixed the problem (5 min.) with his laptop.
I plan on getting new heads in six months and I will be giving them another call.
Sorry to hear about this. There is always two sides to every event.
I also had a cam, headers, catback, torque converter, cai, gear and tuning and received nothing but the best service and the work they performed is flawless. Too many times without hearing both sides it's very hard to judge someone if you have had no personal experience with the shop and all the gossipers will chime in and add what they heard from other people with no real knowledge of the shop they speak of. I can only speak from personal experience and hope the other person gets his problem resolved quickly and to his satisfaction.
