I don't think you can register through the forum. You have to register through the Mid-America website. At least that's what I've done the last few years.

no need to register to park. Print the placard from Tom's thread (we've always used the same one for BG and funfest) I would image it has not changed. Place it in your front window and they will direct you to the forum parking area as you enter.

The past couple years Mid America has designed their own dash card design for forum members to use for parking. It changes each year.
They usually contact me sometime in July with this info, and provide me a .pdf file of the dash card, which I then post to the forum for all to print and use.
But, other than that detail, there is no special registration needed to get into the forum parking. Just pre-register on Mid America's site, and watch this forum for my post about the forum parking.
