I found a place on East Side Detroit in Harrison Township at Jefferson & South River Road. It is a place where they store boats but are also taking cars.

They must be hard up, huh? I used to live in HT and my folks live right off of Bridgeview on the river. A lot of people I heard either sold their boats this year or never even took them out of storage. Tough economy over there - too bad.
Off South River Rd. Lakeshore and Huron Pointe. Yes boating is way way down. I heard a story other day from salesman I know had boat for sale $27,600 owner said I want out of it lower price to $9,900. person came in said what will he take.

Hey Guys, There is a new Car Condo storage place that went up on 26 mile rd. few miles east of I-94. Owned by the guy that owns Vilitel Buick I gather. I think they are selling the units but they may be leasing as well. Dont know the particulars though. Also if you looking just to park the cars in heated general storage the Wills St. Clair car museum in Marysville has spots open.

I see same thing happening with cars.
It will get better most be positive.
That sounds rough. My dad was looking for a boat, but now they are considering moving out here to Chicago so that'll probably not happen. He took the buyout from American Axle but my mom will still be working a couple more years. The problem they will face is selling their house, even though it's on the river. There are a bunch of houses down the street in a brand new sub in foreclosure. Hard to compete with that.
Like you said, it will get better, but it will take time. The big question is how long?
