I hit a horrible one today while driving the truck, unfortunately I couldn't see it as it was under about two feet of water. . . pothole, sinkhole. . . whatever.

Played pothole slalom on Gary avenue up to Wheaton today, sure enough 1 block past the deepest crater was a poor sap kneeling at his Caddy changing his tire.

These towns should be held responsible for damages to tires, rims and broken suspension parts!

Can't somebody invent a Kevlar sandbag in varying sizes they could drop in these divots for a temporary fix?

I don't know what embarrasses me more about this State, the condition of our roads, our politicians or our football team...

I work in Broadview and take 31st through LaGrange Park and they patched it after last winter but it's already fallen apart again. It's the worst road around.

They are as big as ever here in Michigan. Even though it was warm yesterday I would have been afraid to take the car out and hit one of those nasty holes.

I saw this in the paper to file a pothole damage claim:

IDOT: www.dot.state.il.us/claims/claimsinformation.asp

IL Tollway: www.illinoistollway.com

Chicago: www.chicityclerk.com/claims.php

Good Luck

yes good luck. watched the news report on this and they said that you'll get part of the money back from a claim. they won't cover 100% and that's if they do

Daily temps above freezing dropping below at night is a big culprit and happens nearly every night. Better get used to the idea of a gas tax increase because it is coming or we will all be driving on dirt.
