Default Good remote start installer - Ford Explorer

I don't feel like doing another remote start install! Anyone suggest a great shop or person who may want to help? If it gets too expensive, I may do it myself..

This is not for the vette, for a 2004 Ford Explorer.

Thanks. In the Libertyville, Volo area.

Thought about them. I had a "major electronics company" do my old Dodge Ram. I looked at it, got pissed, took it out and reinstalled it most of it myself...I was hoping to find someone on the side.

Chicago Parts and Sound on Wheat Lane in Wooddale. Just had a "factory" remote with alarm installed in my daughter's 07 Stang. I'll pm you tomorrow with cost and a phone number.

You're gonna need an additional transponder key too by the way.

Sorry Kevin, I don't know much at all about the remote starts. That would be Greg's dept. With his help im sure you can get it wired up quick if you do it yourself.

Thanks guys.

Greg, I PMed you. I'd love to get the amp working corectly before next spring.

I have installed these before...it was on my old Dodge Ram; not too bad, just took a long time, I was hoping to split the work with someone so I can get it done in a reasonable time. This unit looks more involved also.

oh so you've already purchased it? If you have, Abt won't install it unless you've bought it from them unfortunately. If you do go that route

I stopped at ABT before Christmas to price out their remote starts. They wanted 700 for their 2nd best alarm/remote start, Python LC3,installed on a 03suburban. I paid 400 for the viper system a few years ago, on a 94 surb. ,from sound effects on grand ave in elmwood pk, they are out of business now. ABT should be around for future service if it fails for some reason, they warranty for life of vehicle.I'm still out on this one looking for something more reasonable.
