Best of luck to ya - I got the axe a week ago without warning, and if you think things are bad on the west side of the state, well.....

Anyway, keep your head up, hit the job boards, and NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK.

Sorry to hear that Deb The whole country is bad, but Michigan is terrible. I have heard it said that when one door closes another opens; I hope you find it soon.

I sincerely hope that all of you who have been "axed" have a better go of things than I.

This is as bad as i've seen it in 30 years in Chicago. Cant believe the company i work for is still afloat. Down to working a couple days a week if lucky. And i am lucky. This will turn around, hopefully soon.
Good luck to everybody out there looking for work. We need the Olympics here in Chi town, but something tells me we ain't gonna get them.

Hey Deb,

Sometimes these things lead to better opportunities. I know it looks bleak now but it will get better; it will.

it'll be fine, i think we're just in a "reset" where individuals and businesses are paying for living over their means, all of the skilled workers worthy of being on someone's payroll will be back in action once this blows over (hopefully soon)... back to basics
