Default Petition to start automatic thread starting....

It has come to the attention of many people on here that when posting threads in any of the regional sections that people don't really think before they post. So.........I for one think the moderators or the website people should make these sections have a mandatory thread style.

Threads should be automatic and have titles setup like this:
City, State: Thread Title... Description

So all threads would end up looking something like:
Murfreesboro, TN: Car Show... Car Show Tonight at 7:00pm

Then the inner thread full writeup

So when all said and done the threads would add up and end with a very nice list!
Murfreesboro, TN: Car Show... Car Show Tonight at 7:00pm
Norfolk, VI: Car Show... Car Show June 7, 2009
Knoxville, TN Area: 6th Annual Cruise-In... Saturday, May 16th
Richmond, VI: HR Ratpack Cruise to Richmond Gun Show?... Sat May 16
Dothan, AL: 2009 Beach Caravan... May 14-17

If they took it one step further and color coordinated the states then it would be very easily searchable!

Blue: Tennessee
Red: Virginia
Green: Alabama

This way ALL THE THREADS would be the same way and very easily searchable!

This is not rocket science and to have the software do this would take very minimum effort!

Who ever agrees with me please post!

Oh Great more rules. Most people know exactly what threads pertain to what area and some of us visit other areas/states. What about posts that are not city specific?
We dont post the West Michigan stuff for just one city and I sure dont care to force anyone to go through the steps to post in color which BTW would not do good as the titles are not in color. And not all threads are about an event/ or a certain night.

I vote a big JUST SAY NO!

I think you guys are getting the wrong idea.

1: How can you post something in Regional that is not a State/Area specific? This is the whole idea. To streamline the stuff.
City: leave it blank if it is too specific
State: Michigan
Title: whatever you want (can be as general as you wish!)
Description: whatever you want (can be as general as you wish!)

2: The template in the thread is setup by the web master. You do nothing. It would automatically have the fields there in place so that you can't mess anything up. This would make it easier for people not harder! How difficult is it to type stuff hit the tab button and continue to type? Easy!

3: The colors are also done by the web master. NOT YOU. So again nothing for you to do there. The threads are only not in color as this is the way the website is constructed. Iam not saying to have the whole thread in color. Heck no! can you say hard to read! NO!!! NO!!! Iam saying have the thread title in color only.

[QUOTE=XtremeVette;1570051127]I think you guys are getting the wrong idea.

1: How can you post something in Regional that is not a State/Area specific? This is the whole idea. To streamline the stuff. Take a look at the threads,. The Ryan Threads are for EVERY State! The Chicago Crew BBQ is for EVERY STATE! etc etc
City: leave it blank if it is too specific
State: Michigan Don need a MANDATORY state, the area should cover it all.

Easy! Because WE DONT want to be DICTATED to HOW /WHAT to post. Again the MAJORITY of the posts do not FALL Into any one catagory.

NO NO NO, leave the GARANIMAL color codes for the KIDS of sesame street.

I think you guys are getting the wrong idea.

1: How can you post something in Regional that is not a State/Area specific? This is the whole idea. To streamline the stuff.[B]Take a look at the threads,. The Ryan Threads are for EVERY State! The Chicago Crew BBQ is for EVERY STATE! etc etc

Which is fine, but at least now we know where you are from!!!

Your thread would look like this:
Chicago, IL: BBQ....all states nearby welcome.

2: The template in the thread is setup by the web master. You do nothing. It would automatically have the fields there in place so that you can't mess anything up. This would make it easier for people not harder! How difficult is it to type stuff hit the tab button and continue to type? Easy!Because WE DONT want to be DICTATED to HOW /WHAT to post. Again the MAJORITY of the posts do not FALL Into any one catagory.

But actually they do. Every single person on here is from someplace.

3: Colors fine, don't need em. Was just a suggestion. Might have been a little overkill and the web master has indicated it would be a little difficult to add into the forum. No biggie.

The whole idea to this thread was suggestions to make the sections better...but sounds like you seriously took personal offense to it or something...for that I apologize...not trying to start fights.

I would love to go to a event in the Virgin Islands, but it would be really hard to get my Vette there.

Maybe I'll find events in Norfolk or Richmond, VA to go to instead.
