Yeah, the cruise in is a green light operation. I booked a room at the Hampton from the 22nd-26th. Should be good, and I'm working on a deal right now to perhaps arrive in something new ;)

You will not be dissapointed, the Cruise In is a blast!
While I will not be arriving at the Cruise In in anything new, I will be arriving in something with significant "enhancements" :D
Did anyone from the Chitown area go to the show? Anything cool from the General that we didnt see in detroit?
Zack
I went last night. There wasn't much I hadn't already seen in Autoweek from Detroit. That Cobra blue was a really nice color. That was the car from the whole show that my girlfriend wanted.
I thought the GT40, 350Z and Pontiac Soltice were all great (that Saturn roadster wasn't bad either), but other than that I wasn't too impressed. The concepts were the same wagon/SUV things that we've been seing for years. The one that I wanted to see, the Chrysler Pacifica wasn't even there. All of the Pontiac one-offs (Bonne, Grand Prix) are huge steps in the right direction - less cladding, big simple five-spoke rims instead of the crazy sawblade types, etc. I barely even slowed down going through the Chevy display. Other than the Vette their model line blows. A yellow Monte Carlo, oh wow.
steve, we had the pacifica here...nothing to rave about.......
yellow monte carlo? didnt see it here...i did see a yellow cavalier...or maybe it was orange...like a tang orange.. Did you guys have the Cien? or the XLR?

We did have the Cien. It didn't look as good in person as in the magazines, and neither did the CTS. They didn't have the XLR.
I was down there last Friday. That GT40 is a sharp car! Now's it a matter of whether it will go into production... I don't think I spent a whole lot of time in the Chevy area either, other than to look at the new Hummers. Was it me, or was Chevy the only manufacturer there without any 2003 models? Heck, I would have settled to see a new Tahoe!
Did you happen to see the "Hot Wheels Grand Prix"? I didn't care for the Hot Wheels badging, but that color was amazing!!!
They did not have the Cadillac XLR on display, but they did have the Cien. The Cien was sweet in my opinion. The GT40 was very nice and I agree on Pontiac going in the right direction. I also liked the Mercury Marauder and Dodge Ram SRT-10 they had on display.
kinda disapointed. Probably cuz GM didnt have anything excitin. The coolest thing was the srt-10 pickup truck. Seems most companies are goin for the souped up "muscle" truck stuff. Wheres all the fast cars goin!! I have pics ill post them on a site tomorrow.
