I have Dynatechs for a couple of reasons.
1. You get everything in one package including 02 extensions
2. Ease of install some headers you have to take the motor mount lose to get them in these you do not. Kooks and LGs I think you do.
A lot of good things said about America racing headers also but they were not out yet when I got mine.
I got mine from here

Melrose here.

Why? Because they came with the car.

The only advise I have is to get the system with the lease amount of clamps. This will limit the opportunity of leaks.

Dynatechs use ball flanges from the headers to the pipes. I think.

I also like the idea of ceramic coated stainless. But this is mostly appearance.

TPIS....because they were sold to me for $250.00, they were used by Vette magazine for a dyno session then pulled off...so I couldn't pass it up....

What's your target price range and what will your future mods be??

Yes and No...you could do that and not have the car live up to it's potential...or you could add the supporting mods and headers are a good start and the LG Pro is in my opinion the only choice for you...

if your serious on the procharger or any head/large cam package, your going to want to get the largest primarys you can find. for a car thats mostly stock the 1 3/4 primarys are plenty. I know a guy that has gone through 3 or 4 diffrent sets of headers on his procharged 97. He started with the LG headers. im not sure which set he had but he didnt like the way they narrowed at the end of the collector, then went back to the same width. he took those off and put on some cheap $300 ebay headers and gained 20 wheel horse. he has since got rid of those and installed Kooks headers and gained another 10 wheel horse, all without any other changes. The thing to keep in mind though is he had more cubic inches (408ci) and he also has a motor that makes and estimated 900 horse (714 wheel) so the small diffrences in the headers make a huge diffrence at that power level.

so it all depends on your future plans for the car. headrs are an expensive thing to have to buy twice! hope that helps ya out.

They are all good set ups some are easier to install than others and Kooks are one of the tougher to install. If you are paying someone else for the install then Kooks is a good choice. You can get the hi-flo cats, mid pipes and x- pipes with most of the name brand systems. I suggest you get the whole system no matter what brand you get that way you know it will all go together with no surprises.
