I can't decide about Cutler. Sure, he's having a rough time. But he is surrounded by incompetents. I mean, seriously - for the 2nd week in a row, the Bears lost more yards in penalties than they made in rushing plays. That tells me that the players are making stupid mistakes, that the coaches aren't doing their jobs, and that everyone in the stadium knows that Cutler is going to be putting the ball in the air. Tough for him to succeed under those conditions.
Bottom line - the thread title says it all.
good analysis. I think in the right environment he'd be a great QB. Right now the Bears do not offer him that opportunity and he could up just being frustrated and go bust.
Maybe the Bears need to come over to South Bend and get Weis. Im sure he will be looking for work monday 11/30/2009. He would fit right in over there with the Bears.
I think the Bears should hire Josh McDaniels to talk to the players on the sidelines. No more of these Lovie Dovey latte chats. It probably won't make them play any better but at least they would hear what the fans at home think of them. GO HAWKS

Are you suggesting we get him as a coach or a replacement for Orlando Pace

Ah, so I was off by a few points. The Vikings didn't play their best game today and they handled us with ease. This calls for 2 or 6 Mike Ditka's "kick ***" bloody Mary's!!!
And take a couple of the offensive line out back and shoot them, if only to motivate the others.
no kidding. I can't tell if it's the players or the coaching. Cutler gets .02 seconds to throw before he is laying on his back looking at the sky. Or like in todays game, looking at the grass face down.
