Default Super Charger Pricing

I've been toying with the idea of going to FI, but the local shops are so much more expensive than some of the Forum shops advertising in the Z06 section. Any body care to share their package, pricing, shop, etc.

More of a local question, opposed to a technical question. I'm looking for pricing and recommendations for local shops.

I would give speed inc in schaumburg a call. I believe member in this forum is currently shopping around this area for the best price for his gs and they gave him a good price. Not as cheap as other non local shops but this one included headers, plus I would be willing to pay some extra to have my tuner local. Good luck . Keep us updated, i'll hopefully be doing this shopping next year.

I have got a quote from most of the shops listed above and speed inc. was the best and it included headers for my GS. But I will tell you some shops are as high as $4K more than others, they ranged from about $9K to $12,500. Pay to play i guess. The prices included tune as well.

Good luck with your search!

I'm probably going to end doing a cam. Hoping to get into the 10's first with just a tune and intake on DR's(11.18 best so far). Last chance this weekend. Like the thought of FI, but hard to pay 4k more just because of where you live.

Straightline gave me a good price for CAI, headers, cam and tune back in the spring, don't know if they still are running that offer, just an idea.

I hear you about paying so much more here. what is it about 1500 to trailer it? but then you don't have the convenience of having the tune done locally. I guess you could still have it tuned here, just seems like too much of a headache.

Pete,

The LS7 is not boost friendly with its 11 to 1 compression and I would be content if I were you with your very low 11 second Z with just CAI, tune and drag radials. If you MUST get a little more radical then a Cam and headers makes ALOT more sense than a boosted engine, as the cam/headers/re-tune will get you in the 10s, will be safer to run, and will be thousands of dollars less.

If you MUST boost your car then look up Mike Norris of Norris Motorsports in Indianapolis or Speed, Inc., or Straightline Performance, as they will have the best pricing.

That having been said if you MUST mod your car to go faster and run 10s, then if it were me it would be a no brainer to CAM her up, put on some longtube headers, re-tune, and call it a day. I would forget the f/i induction motor on a stock high compression LS7 unless you run race gas, otherwise its a ticking time tomb in my opinion (unless you only run 5lbs of boost and what fun is that)?

Best of luck to you!

You could also do a small shot of juice it will get you there for sure and be alot cheeper, They have come a long way with safety these days on spray, You will just have to fill the bottle, You know where i went with my car i wanted to stay local and im very happy i might have payed a little more them some other shops but 3+ years in the 9's and ZERO issues except a trans but that must be expected, Good luck with what ever you do, As soon as you get a 10 sec time slip a 9 sec slip is only 1 sec away, LOL

It's only money, It never stops with this so if you are going to do this do it right the first time, This is not the time to cut corners to save some money in the long run it will cost you BIG.

Found another out of state special, http://talentmotorsports.com/
$6150 installed, but it's in cali.

I think if you're really serious about a supercharger it would be worth checking out the trailer prices and give these guys, ragin racing, and east coast a call and see what they can do for you.

It's really a shame that our local tuners are charging almost twice , maybe if they knew that potential customers are willing to trailer there cars out of state, they would lower there prices... maybe not.
