looking for an engine stand

looks like im probably going to be pulling the motor in the next week or 3, and its time to start looking for a stand.

anyone got an old one for sale?

eh, shouldnt be an issue. i need to replace the motor mounts anyways, and this is only a few more bolts to unbolt.

With your luck or lack there of I would not risk it if it is running good as it appeared to be

the things actually leaking like hell, so im pulling the top half of and replacing the rear main. thisll just make things a whole hell of a lot easier. plus i can check my clutch and replace the throw out bearing, which i know is on its way out.

Man, if you are going to pull it I would suggest a hone, new rings, check bearings, heads, and cam. Make that thing roar

i actually thought about that, but thankfully i dont have to. ill check the bearings when i have it out. a compression test put me at 170 on 6 cylinders, 165 on one, and 175 on the other. i think the cam is ok, but ill know more once i have things further apart.

biggest problem i have is self restraint. i know that if i pull that crankshaft, ill be looking for a 400 crank... and things just go to hell after that.
