I live in Kenosha, WI and looking to get a 2013 GS 4LT. Been establishing a good relationship with a Chevy dealer in Northern Illinois and have been impressed so far. My question is when it comes time to start making the deal, can they compete with the forum dealers on price? Like everyone else, I want to make sure I'm getting the best deal possible. Especially with a purchase of this magnitude.
Thanks in advance for the help, Brian

They can if they want to sell a car! Is it a factory order or something that is taking up space in their showroom?
I would imagine if you had a quote from one of the "forum dealers" in your hand you would have a place to start haggling with. But why would they give you one knowing you are just going to use it as leverage somewhere else?
Look out for the "Oh, but it's spring so the price goes up" excuse.
My plan is to order what I want toward the end of the ordering timeline and take NCM delivery (still on the fence about that), so it won't be taking up floor space at the dealership. They assured me they will have allocation as well. I will be using any available discounts (Military, USAA, and whatever current incentives will be) to arrive at the best price. Not worried about the Spring scenario you mentioned. Looking to order Dec-Feb timeframe.
