My son Nick has been playing Little League Baseball for over 5 years through Oakridge Little League and it has been a great experience for the entire family.. especially him. He has learned many life lessons including team work, humility, and sportsmanship. Little League Baseball has also allowed me to form a very strong bond between a father a son which couldn't have occurred without sports.

Because I believe in what Little League stands for and provides for the youth of America I am extremely involved in the league. I have 2 kids, ages 6 and 11, who play in the league and help as an assistant coach for both their teams. I also help by umpiring games which is very fun.

This year I was asked to be part of the Fund Raising Committee and we are in the middle of the Responsible Sports contest to obtain a $2500 grant. We are currently #1 but need your help to stay there. With just a few minutes of your time you can help keep us on the leaderboard by taking a short quiz. After taking the quiz please make sure you tell them it is for Oakridge Little League in San Jose, CA

We just got bumped from 2nd place and are now in 3rd. We have 12 more hours to try and hold on to a top 5 finish. If we can hold on we'll win 1 of 5 $2500 grants.

If you can take the time to help our Little League out that would be greatly appreciated. The $2500 would be used for scholarships to those families which may need financial assistance and for improving the fields for the kids to play on.

Thank you very much for the overwhelming support we have received from people on this forum.

Thanks to EVERYONE who helped out OakRidge Little League obtain a $2500 Grant! The entire league, familes, and children want to offer a HUGE thanks to EVERYONE who helped us... without your help we would have NEVER achieved our goal! We ended up finishing in 2nd place (almost 500 Certifications!), 5 certifications from the top spot, which is good enough. We only had to finish in the Top 5.. thank you very much!

The 2 winner of the powder coated caliper service are darkstar.c5 and purvistechie!
