Default tpms

Hello, can some one tell me if you can remove the tpms from stock
rims on a 99 and install valve stems in there place. Thanks

Sure you can, but you will have an error message appear on the DIC every time you start the car. You will have to push reset to clear it each time. Not sure why you would want to take the TPS out of the wheels - IMO its a good safety feature.

It will also set off the active handling and mess with the traction control. Basically if the car thinks it has a flat ( or 4 ) it will limit power so you don't get in more trouble

I have not had my TPMS in my wheels for 10 years, other than the rare times I have my runflats installed. I have never had a problem with AH/TC or limp home mode from it. If you have a 2006+ vette you can have those problems. If you don't run them it is wise to regualarly monitor your tire pressures....the factory TPMS are usually within 2 lbs of being accurate.
