Creen Bay
Just got back from Green Bay to visit my son and his family. He got a job at ShopKo's headquarters and moved his family there.
I got to visit the Packer's Pro Shop at Lambeau Field.
Wow - is there anything that they don't have there? Hundreds of items with the Packer logo in there. I did not wear my Detroit Lion's t-shirt in there but I did wear a shirt with a large Detroit English D on it!
The field is awesome. Now we are trying to get some tickets to the Oct 16 game against the Lions.
Oh yeah - first time for deep fried cheese curds too. They are fantastic!
Curly Lambeau statue out front next to Lombardi's statue:
It truely is an experience to visit Lambeau field. It gets even better for a game. Where else in the country is it acceptable (borderline mandatory) to crack a beer at 6:30 in the morning for the tailgating festivities ?!
You should be able to snag some tickets for roughly $175-$200 per seat. And oh, btw, the last time the Lions won at Lambeau Field was on Dec., 15, 1991....

Yes sir - I am sadly aware of the history between the two teams. My son thinks he can score some tickets from one of the vendors. If that does not work then we shall just have to pay the price. I doubt if this year's winner will be any different than in the past several years though.
Funny thing is that when my son was much younger and living at home he would get in huge pizzing matches with Green Bay fans on the internet. Now he is kind of forced into becoming a fan by default and also by the fact that his office is only a few blocks from the field. Not to mention that all the other buyers there and his boss are rabid cheese heads! Go Pack Go !
Shopko is a big sponsor at Lambeau, so maybe your son can get lucky and get some comp tickets or skybox seats.
Hope you enjoy the game and experience. October is just perfect weather wise for a game. The last time I was at a game it was in Jan with 33 degrees and rain/snow.
I've been to Lambeau 6 times and it is quite an experience, its hard to follow the game with everything going on around you but then if you want to follow the game watch it at home. I just like soaking up the experience when Im there, oh and $6 beers heck I love going there and I'm a Bear fan
