Sun-Shade did my Vette and prior to that my Cavalier. They did Ken King's Tahoe and Vette I believe. They are well known for doing a great job although their prices are not cheap.
It is a little shop run by the same guy for years...just call and make an appointment.
Come to Windsor. 50% on your loot. I know a good place that did my car as well as Zack's
Joe
I've had 3 non-corvettes, my coupe and now my vert done at the same place Joe's talking about. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Factor in the exchange rate and I'd say they can't be beat. :smash:
I remember... it was kinda in pieces scattered everywhere. There was talk of making off with the SC .. :jester Looks very nice... hows it running now that its back together?
T1Kilr,
I paid $175 to have the sides and rear done on the vert and $225 for the sides and rear on the coupe. I called to ask about your car and he gave me a price of $200. All of these prices are in CDN. The place is called The Trim Shoppe and the number is 519-974-3383.
Well after working all the bugs out its running great. :D It had a few problems alone the way, like a oil leak then a coolant leak then a too small radiator :mad it now has a nice new custom one that keeps it cool. What I want to know is does this place in Canada do the rear window in one piece. I would rather pay the extra cash for the one piece job.
Originally I was only thinking of doing the hatch but the prices seem to be good. I too would like to know if the place in Canada does the rear in one piece. I will try giving them a call tomorrow and post the answer.
T1Kilr, Sounds like a good idea. Not only do we save some money, but it will be a nice drive too. The only thing I can see that could be a problem is coming back thru customs. If you have your windows done you cant lower them and going thru customs and having to talk to them by opening the door could get you a trip to the side getting checked out. them guys can be a real PITA sometimes. Something to think about.
Ok, well I didn't have access to the phone number on friday but I did call The Trim Shoppe in Windsor and the costs are ($CND) $225 for the sides and hatch, $165 for the hatch only. I asked how many pieces the rear hatch was done in and the response ... 2. It would be really nice to have the hatch done in one piece and if the work were done early in the morning, crossing the bridge shouldn't be too bad because we could spend the afternoon with our canadian bretheren! We should be able to roll down the windows by then!
Its just when I can get some free time to do it at either place. :mad
They did my 98 coupe window in 2 pieces and you couldn't ebven tell where the seam was. Customs shouldn't be a hassle, they don't know where you had them done. JUst open the door when you go through :yesnod: $225 canadian is $150 US
