Chicagoland Auto-X
Anyone in the area doing any autocross? I'm really hoping to be able to get back into racing this year, after all it's why I bought my corvette. I'd love to have people to go with, teach me the ropes, point out my flaws and just have someone to interact with. If not I could go for any suggestions on what would be a good club to run with.
I used to do HSAX back when I drove a Honda prelude. Looking to ease myself into things this time around and really just learn the car better.
I live in Geneva, right between Aurora and Elgin. Work out of Naperville, anyone in the area let me know.

There are many Corvette Clubs in the Chicago area. I am a member of Northern Rays Ltd. The closet club to you is http://chicagocorvetteclub.com/
They meet in North Aurora at the Oak Street Rest and Bar 3rd Wed of every month.
You do not have to belong to a Corvette Club to run an autocross.
The Tri State Sports Car Council runs alot of autocross in the area also

Neither have their 2014 schedules up yet. SCCA runs at Rt66 in Joliet. They always have quite a few instructors that are more than willing to help. They do a "learning curve" event to start the year. You got a ton of course time with instructors (at a higher cost of course).
I've never run with TSSCC, but I've heard good things.
