Default KCMO Area Header Install Recommendations?

I just bought LG lt headers and am trying to find a shop that will install them for a reasonable price and figured someone here has to know where to go.

You can try MC Racing - not sure what their prices are anymore on header installs. Last time I checked with them, I was quoted a rather high price for the install, but I have to wonder whether or not the person giving me the quote made a mistake.

A previous time there, I was quoted $400 for just the install and the last time it was $1K.

Another avenue to explore is get in touch with someone from the Kansas City Corvette Association - surely someone in that really large club has installed headers and would know of a good place to have the work done.

That is the only shop I ended up finding that would do it and they want $450. I think I'm going to try to borrow a lift for a day and get them mounted then get my muffler shop to weld them because that's outrageous.

I think you'll find that $400 or so is a pretty standard price for a LT header install. I've been quoted that price by several shops. But if you can do it yourself, might as well save the bucks. Still can't understand why I was quoted $1K that one time - must not have wanted to do the job at all.

Call Santa Fe Garage in Indep. 816-977-1020 and ask for Greg Smith.

I just took all my wheels and tires to them for rebalancing. Unbelieveable cool shop, id bet they'd do it. The only question would be...how much? These guys are a great find, true pros for sure.

Shoot me a PM and we could talk too.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation, I ended up having my mechanic whom I use for my other cars put them on and he did fine with a little assistance. I'll have to check out Santa Fe for some future jobs though, I'm always so hesitant with mechanics.

The headers sound amazing on the car too, just in case you were wondering.
