Jim, Joe, and anyone else interested in caravan / driving down to Bowling Green .... The Bash is about here! We ought to start talking about the plans.
Given that we need to make it down to BG in time to check in, register and head over to the Motorsports track in time for the 5pm parade laps, I'm thinking we probably need to leave around 7am.
Suggestion: Wednesday departure, meet at Lincoln Oasis on 294 @ 6:45.

that should work assuming we don't tour downtown Indy this year, plus gives plenty of time to stop because I am old...... If you know what I mean.

We're coming from another direction and not till Thursday but have fun. PM sent.
Wish you were coming Johnny! Have fun at the wedding.
Jim - I was thinking the same thing - get it all shiny and then drive down on Wednesday, which right now shows a 70% chance of raining. Thursday and Friday are supposed to be good - then rain again on Saturday. Of course when have you ever believed the weathermen!

that reminds me of that year we went down to cruise in and it rained the whole trip down . I put the cars bra in the tub in the room to let it dry the next day the tub was black , I wonder what the maid thought we did in the shower
I go to the Museum twice a year, the BASH and Labor Day and it seems to rain at least one of the days there. I have heard of some guys get up at 5 AM to clean their cars only to be drenched at 7AM. The good thing is we will all be in the same position. The good news is many hotels have hoses and buckets set up for the people that will enter the show. We go to visit friends and have a good time. See you there.
Meet at Lincoln Oasis (last one heading south before you hit Indiana) at 6:45am - it's about a MILE AFTER the huge rock quarry that 294 goes over. If you're in the left lane as you hit that, you'll probably miss the Oasis!
Freshen up and head out at 7:00am!
Joe - if you want to put on your bra there, I'll try to get there by 6:30 to help you.
Jim & Joe - do either of you guys have 1 FRC radio? I've got 2, so if we want to communicate while heading down 65, a third one would help out (3 cars … )
I hope there are some last minute takers to join in on the caravan and all the fun! Y'all don't know how fun this event is!
It was a pleasure to meet/talk to you Wednesday night in the parking lot of the Marriott. I hope you guys had a great weekend. I bailed late Friday night due to potential stormy weather for Saturday.
Hopefully we can get together at another event. It was great to put a face with the name.
