car audio shop recommendations. ..

Looking for a reputable shop to Install a head unit and possibly fab a custom cubby hole sub box in my C6. Im near Joliet, IL and I have no issues driving a cpl hours.

I was looking too and decided on Double D Mods since they have such a good reputation on here. I spoke with Dennis on the phone and he was very helpful. The only issue is the 4 hour drive for me since the shop is in Wisconsin and I live in central Illinois . Then finding something to do while he does the install. I haven't looked yet to see if there is something near his shop to do to kill some time.

I would give Soundz plus in Warrenville, il a call. The did some work on my sons Car. Great install, clean but just a little to loud for me but then again, I am old.... Good luck.

I was just about to post a thread asking this same question.

I didn't realize Double D was in Wisconsin and I have ten days off the week after next. But what is there to do in that area?

Im going to end up at Audio Driven on Oak Forest. I know installers that worked for the owner. They were at a shop he managed before opening his own. I didnt know he opened his own joint. If you check it out tell Tom I sent ya.

Yup. Its been awhile since i did a system and found out Tom opened his own shop. It's going in on Monday to get the HU put in and tuned. I did all the other work.
