Default Saint Louis C4 Saftey Inspection Stations that are Knowledgeable

Elco Chevrolet has been recommended but they are booked for a week and wanted it done sooner.

Would like one for a Safety inspection that knows how to lift a C4 properly.

You might try Weber Chevrolet.

I did they asked me several times you only want to come in for a safety inspection and then they connected me to someone's voicemail and that was the end of it whereas on the other hand Elco Chevrolet I called two different times in two days in a row and they are just more than accommodating and great attitude but it's just the thing that I wanted to get it done sooner. Elco also has a C4 mechanic and they sponsor the St.Louis Corvette club.

Well then good luck. That's the only other place I have dealt with in St. Louis. You just may have to wait a week for Elco to free up some time. And yes, the mechanic at Elco is top notch from what I have heard.

Do you think Weber has enough experience to take a twenty-six-year-old C4 and lift it up on the right lift points without hurting the rocker or the brake lines or gas line or floor pan I've heard some stories from other members that even through a dealership their rocker or their pans got ruined from the dealer. I actually live right next door to Weber on the same street so it would be super convenient but then again I'm just concerned whether they can do this confidently even though it's just a simple safety inspection lifting the car is what I'm concerned about.

Your best bet is the just discuss you concerns with the service manager at Weber - ask how they will lift the car. It's been a long, long time since I've owned a C4 so my experience with them is not current.

You could also try and get in touch with one of the Corvette Clubs in the St. Louis area and ask for recommendations for places to take the car or if anyone has a more current experience with Weber.
