Default Closing in on HELL

TOMORROW IS THE DAY and IT'S A GO!!!
Game On!
Rock & Roll!
Lock & Load!
etc...

Meeting Locations:

0) Oakland Mall. For those of you coming in from "over there", I received a suggestion to meet up someplace convenient. If you think you'd like to meet there, post here so we can set something up more officially. Departure time: TBD

1) I-275 & 7 Mile Road. Just west of 275 on 7 mile there's a Home Depot on the corner of 7 mile & Haggerty. Departure time: 11 AM (show up by 10:45 though :))

People meeting at this location will be heading across North Territorial Road to US 23. Can I get a volunteer to head up this route? Someone to make sure we have who we should ane follow the prescribed route over

2) US-23 & North Territorial Road (EXIT 49 on US23) Just west of 23 there's a restaurant called Dewey's. They're now closed and their parking lot should be a great place to meet (thanks to whomever suggested that). Departure Time: 11:30 AM (come early, come often!)

Once Group 1 arrives, we'll head out along North Territorial and wind up in HELL a little after Noon. Eat, drink & be merry before heading out on a route that'll take us through a few small towns along the windiest road that I could find.

Our final destination will be the Michigan Brewing Company in Webberville, where we can regroup, chat some more, indulge in the wares of the brewing company, and take pictures of Bill's latest ticket. :D

For those of you unfamiliar with the area, we'll be ending up at Exit 122 on I-96 (for reference, Milford Road is exit 155, Novi is Exit 162).

The route? Leave that to me :D I've got one planned out that I'll post a link to. I'm hoping to make a dry run of it in the next couple days.

Please post here if you're coming and let me know how many people to expect and which meeting point you're planning on leaving from. That way we can plan ahead, and we won't leave anyone behind. Check back for updates as I might have to make some adjustments here and there depending on how the practice run goes.

Also. If you have an FRS radio, bring it along so we have some car-to-car contact in the group.

This is shaping up to be quite an event! I'm looking forward to it!

Got79Fever: The Home Depot is at 7 Mile and Haggerty. Should we make this the meeting place? I think it's the better than the strip mall at 6 and Haggerty.

Dave: do you want to change the meeting place in your post to read Home Depot on the northwest corner of 7 Mile Rd and Haggerty Rd?

I should be there, but I think the wifey has to work. I'll also try to remember the FRS radios.

I was trying for a mile-road with an exit off 275. Is there someplace convenient at 6 mile?

i believe there is an exit at 7mile road. if not they can get off at 8mile. head west on 8mile. the next light is hagerty. turn left. home depot will be on the right side past meijers and target. i will check for sure about the exit and post.

There will be 2 of us, and I can meet at Oakland Mall or 6 Mile and 275.

If Oakland Mall is used ( Would be good for us east siders) , 14 mile is all messed up. WE could meet in that area at the Ameritech office area at 333 Stephenson Hwy. (Just north of 14 mile on the east side of the street)The building is closed that day and the lot is nice sized. If anyone is near to this location might work out well! :seeya

Got the change made for 7 mile vs 6 mile.

If someone has details for a place instead of Oaklan Mall, let me know and I'll edit that too.

AHHHHHHHH

Just got back from Hell. I wanted to do a practice run of the second half of the trip since I haven't been on most of the roads there. Looks like it should be a really nice drive. I'm REALLY looking forward to it now. Actually, ther family and I started out in Webberville near the Brewing Company and ended up in Hell at Screams Ice Cream. Took about 40-45 minutes running at a quick but casual pace.

I can't wait!! WOOHOO!!

Dave

I will be attending but in a Monte Carlo Indy Pace car, better than my truck I guess. :) Vette is done for the year :(and awaiting new mods. I will take up the rear so I don't look to out of place. Will be meeting at Dewey's, my suggestion. :D

I will be with a friend so count me for 2.
