Detroit Area Machine Shops
Recently had #8 rod bearing fail on my 93 LT1, which means time to go 383ci.
Anyone have recommendations for a machine shop around Metro Detroit? Looking to have someone take care of the machining work and short block assembly. Thanks!

The NAPA Store in Plymouth used to have a machine shop and engine mechanic next to it. Had my 55 Ford Pickup motor rebuilt there years ago.
Don't know if it is still active, but, check it out. If closed they may have a recommendation.
