Driving home last night, came upon a white C7 Stingray in the ditch after hitting guard rail, cold roads, drizzle, did not look like they tried to stop.. very sharp corner after straightaway and they must have seen it too late or something. Not sure if anyone was hurt, car looked bad. Others had stopped to help, no room for me to stop. They seemed to have quite a few already helping. Didn't want to get in way. Took a pic of the aftermath today, damn shame. If anyone knows folks in McHenry, IL.. maybe they can chime in if they are all okay after that crash.

A white Corvette crashed into a guardrail on Lock Lane near State Park. Several people in their twenties are trying to move the car, but it is stuck. The officer suspects the group may be intoxicated. The fire department is on scene cooling the damaged vehicle. Part of the roadway is closed due to the incident.

I was going to say be careful on those colder roads, but if alcohol was involved that changes things

 

Well it seems like if they were intoxicated they only damaged property and their own car, which if you get in an accident is the most ideal outcome. Also as long as the driver is sober the rest of the non-drivers can be drunk as a skunk and its fine. But I'm betting that's not the case...

Oh well.

 

Hopefully no one was injured, but IF alcohol was involved, it was beyond stupid to operate a vehicle.
