Another Gingerman Track Day
The venue is Gingerman Raceway, So. Haven, Michigan just east of I-196 on Phoenix Road. The date is on Memorial Day weekend, Sunday, 25 May 2003. Yes, it is the same day as the Indy 500 but there are lots of folks who are not going this year for all of the obvious reasons.
It is intended to be a free flowing, relaxed but also educational event.
If you are not familiar with Gingerman, it's an exceedingly safe track environment.
There will be a short, on-track familiarization tour by van or bus to start the day just prior to the morning driver's meeting for those new to Gingerman's course.
The touring session for this event is a two-hour open track but it's intended for true "touring." This is unique for this event alone and may be repeated at some future events if it is well received by the participants.
It will be a nice opportunity to compare your hardware to the many competent cars that will be there. To date 5-S2000, 4-Alfa, 4-350Z, 3-Mustang and 1-BMW M3 have registered.
For selfish reasons we have limited the field to 55 cars including instructors.
Pricing is quite reasonable at $120. Touring fee is $20 for non-participants in the event. There is no Touring fee charged for participants.
Applications made after May 10 are subject to a late filing fee of $20. Another late fee of $20 is charged for "at site" enrollment.
I am exceedingly confident that you may disregard these fees because we will fill and probably have a waiting list.
Further detailed information on this event can be found at http://www.s2kca.com/aroc . Our on-line registration is under construction at with some difficulty at present but you may download registration forms for mailing and e-mailing (e-mail form to lock your spot and mail check).
Contacts and nearly all necessary information may be found at our site.
Send a PM or post here if you are sufficiently patient and I'll provide any further information that you request.

I suspect that the silver S2000 in the upper, right hand, corner of your photograph is actually my co-chairperson for this brings event, Scott Reynaert. It was at the October 19 event that the idea for joint sponsorship of this year's spring event was born. Actually it was born after the event while enjoying beer and onion rings at Clementine’s restaurant.
Assuming all goes well with spring event at Gingerman, I will try to organize plan and hold more joint events with other "marque-clubs" such as this Corvette community. I think a Corvette/S2000 track day would be a great event. :hurray:
BTW, if I had a choice between Gingerman and Italy, Italy would win hands down. Enjoy.

The first is Texas World Speedway, on May 3-4, has opened up to other clubs and registrations have been coming in.
The second is Laguna Seca on Sunday, June 3, it is not open to members of the S2000 Club of America and just opened up to the members of the Northern Carlifornia Racing Club. If you want to go, you can join the S2KCA for $35 and then pay the entry fee. It may be worth it for LS :D if you can make it.
Just go to http://www.s2kca.com and look for the banner menu on Events to see information on either event.
I'm actually thinking of going by flying out and renting a Corvette in 'Frisco and then going to LS for the day. I may just tow my S2000. I'm undecided.
